Ladies in Waiting

Ladies in Waiting

As the winter sun sets on a cold January evening, the Loch Ross ewes settle into their night corral.  All but the youngest are pregnant (most apparently with twins), and we eagerly await this season's first lambing.  Tomorrow morning's sunrise is forecast for 21°F - a veritable heat wave following most days this past week!  Experience suggests that the colder the night, the higher the chance of lambs being born.  May all the ladies in waiting fare well as they prepare for their new charges.
