Fall Colors part 2

One distinct fall coloring here is the red berries in the male yaupon trees. These provide tasty forage for deer, birds - and goats!  The current appearance of this yaupon explains its nickname, American holly.  As it happens, Loch Ross has a true holly tree, but its berries are still tiny and all green; it’s not until late fall that the true ivy gets berries worthy of Christmas.  In the meantime, let’s enjoy the yaupon beauty.
