Lawn Mowing

Lawn Mowing

Sheep are nature’s lawnmowers.  Their diet is nearly all grass, and their preference is young shoots. Most of the parasites that affect sheep live only in the lowest few inches of a grass blade, so a large field and rotational grazing are important for healthy sheep.  These Katahdins have a breed-genetics high parasite resistance, so intervention is not often needed. Happy grazing, all you sheep!
