Never-Changing Spots

This giant leopard moth (Hypercompe scribonia) lives up to its name at nearly 3” long.  More typically nocturnal, this one was out in the early morning as we fed and milked the goats. It’s said that a leopard doesn’t change its spots - and you can bet that holds true for leopard moths too.
