I’m a Big Girl Now

Ewenique (left) is no longer a little lamb; at over six months old, she is two-thirds the size of full-grown ewes.  Ever friendly to humans, Ewenique also interacts with the guarding Pyrenees more than the other ewes. It’s as if her bottle-feeding from humans helps her understand the dogs’ human-led presence among the sheep. Hers is truly a Ewenique bond to our species.
