Surface Area

Most of the ewes relax, chewing their cud, lying on the ground to maximize the surface area exposed to the warming sunlight. Their supply of pasture grass is nearly eaten up, so they get daily hay bales to feed on. Their guard dogs Colt and Remington love to sleep in the troughs, resting in the hay still remaining overnight. Animals are to be admired for their natural ingenuity and determination.
