Whey Good!

The hens enjoy their treat of whey from yesterday’s batch of chèvre. These three happened to be at the pan when the whey was poured in; the other girls scurried down from their roosts when they saw what was available. Chickens are interesting in that they are deliberate (wisely diffident) in trying new things, but once they’ve tried and enjoyed they recognize it again instantly.
